Abhisara International’s Bias Cutter is designed to cut ply stock at angles of 45° to 90° from full-width rolls of fabric and is widely used for wire cord and other calendered fabrics.
The width of ply is on an easily visible read-out scale. The photocells are powered into position by means of an air motor and the setting automatically provides the desired ply width regardless of angle.
A ply separation device creates space between the plies to facilitate removal from the conveyor. The standard conveyor is 17′ long but can be extended to provide room for supplemental operations.
The control system is furnished with the latest Allen Bradley PLC, and the cutter conveyor is powered with a precise and rugged Servo motor.
Available with let-offs and wind-ups, this accurate, versatile machine can be tailored to meet your exact bias cutting needs. Optional features such as spreader rolls, safety chucks, and pricker rolls can also be furnished to specification.
